Mangala Fertilizer

We've been at Chawri Bazar for a long time now. The address is Nai Wara 2570/71. It’s always crowded here, especially in the mornings when the trucks arrive. Managing fertilizer isn’t fancy work. You get dust on your clothes and it smells a bit sharp, but it's what we do. People come in from all over to get what they need for their crops. We keep the shop open early. Sometimes the narrow lanes make it hard to move the bags, but we manage. It’s a family thing, mostly. My brother and I sit at the desk and keep track of everything in the register. You know how it is in old Delhi, everyone knows everyone. We don’t have any big signs or fancy lights. Just a regular place where we sell stuff that helps things grow. The building is old, and the stairs are steep. We’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. New shops come and go, but we’re still here at the same spot. It gets hot in the summer, so we keep the fan running all day. Customers usually know what they want before they even walk in. We just weigh it out, take the payment, and they go on their way. It’s simple. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. Just Mangala Fertilizer, doing our thing every day except Sundays. We like the routine of it.
