Malik Sweets

Malik Sweets is right here at B/1 in Connaught Circus, right in the middle of Connaught Place. Being in CP means we see all sorts of people, from office workers to tourists who look a bit lost. We keep the shop open all day, and it stays pretty busy. We make all the standard sweets you’d expect. The milk cake and the laddoos are what we spend most of our time on. It’s a lot of manual work, standing over big vats of boiling milk and sugar. The shop isn't huge, so it can get a bit cramped when several people want boxes packed at the same time. We don't use fancy packaging unless it's a special order. Most people just take their sweets in a plain box and go. The white pillars of CP are right outside our door. It’s a historic area, and we feel like a small part of it now. We don't do much advertising. People just see the name and come in. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by evening. That’s just part of being in such a busy location. We try to keep the floors clean, but with so many feet coming in, it’s a constant job. We’ve been here a long time and seen the circus change, but our sweets stay pretty much the same. That is just how it is at Malik Sweets. We just keep the trays full and the scale ready.
