Maddox Overseas

Maddox Overseas is based at C-1/72 in Mohan Garden, which is part of the Uttam Nagar area. This is mostly a residential neighborhood, but you can find plenty of offices tucked away in the side streets. We have a small space on the ground floor where we handle all our overseas business. It involves a lot of typing and checking emails from people who are in different time zones. Sometimes we have to stay late because of those differences. The street outside is usually full of children playing or people heading to the local market. It is not a major business district, but that suits us just fine. Our routine is pretty consistent. The first thing we do is check if any new shipments have cleared customs. Then it is a lot of phone calls to find out where the delivery trucks are. The office is a bit cluttered with samples and old folders, but we know where everything is kept. We do not do corporate meetings; we just talk across the room to each other when something needs doing. Mohan Garden is a bit of a distance for some people, but it is where we have always been. The tea stall at the corner is where we get our morning chai, which is usually the best part of the day. We just keep things simple and try to stay on top of all the work. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, but we manage eventually.
