We have been down in this basement in Bengali Market for quite a while now. It is technically Basement 5 on Babar Lane, which can be a little tricky for folks to find the first time they come over for a meeting. It is not a fancy place by any means, just a regular workspace where we get our daily tasks done. Being in the basement means we do not get much sunlight throughout the day, but it actually keeps the rooms pretty cool during those really hot Delhi summers. Usually, there is a lot of paper stacked around and computers running from morning until evening. Bengali Market is a very busy area, so there is always someone walking by or some muffled noise coming from the street up above. We mostly focus on the consultancy side of things for Maddox Consultancy Services Privatelimited, helping people who walk in or give us a call. It is just a few of us working here, and we prefer it that way because we know exactly where everything is kept. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the thick concrete walls, but we always manage to get back online quickly. If you are looking for us, just head down the stairs. We try to keep things organized, though on Mondays it gets a bit messy with all the new files coming in. There is a small tea stall nearby that we visit way too often. It is a simple, practical setup for the work we do.
