Lucky Engineering Co

Our workshop is down in Jhilmil Industrial Area at DSIDC 28. If you know the area, you know it's full of small factories and noise. We've been at this spot for a while now. We do engineering work, mostly small parts and custom jobs that people bring us. The machines we use are loud and take up most of the floor. There’s always a smell of oil and cut metal in the air. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the door. My brother and I run the place with two other guys who live nearby. It's a lot of standing on your feet all day. We get blueprints from customers and try to match them as best as we can. Sometimes the measurements are a bit off and we have to fix it on the fly. We don't use fancy software, just the old lathes and drills. It gets very hot in the summer because the roof is just tin. We take a long lunch break when the sun is at its highest. Most of our customers are from other units in Jhilmil. They just walk over when they need a tool repaired or a bracket made. We keep our tools on the wall where they’re easy to grab. It’s not the cleanest place but we know where everything is. That’s what matters at the end of the shift.
