Our workspace is located at B-92, C-1, on the ground floor in Dilshad Colony. It is a very busy part of the neighborhood, and being on the ground floor means we are right in the thick of things. You can hear the sounds of the street all day long, from rickshaws to people talking and the general hustle of Delhi. The office itself is quite modest. Larsen Toubro Ltd has been operating from this small unit for a while now. We do not have a lot of extra space, so we have to be very organized with our files and equipment. It is just a few rooms with desks pushed against the walls to make space. We do not have a dedicated receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello. Most of the staff comes from nearby areas, so there is a very local feel to the place. We do our work, which mostly involves local management and keeping track of various tasks. We do not have those fancy glass-walled meeting rooms. We just pull up a chair if we need to talk about something. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall at the corner. It is an unpretentious place to work. We do not worry about corporate image; we just worry about getting the paperwork finished on time. It is a simple, hardworking office in a crowded part of the city. We do our best to keep things moving.
