Chandra Silk Vt

If you find yourself in Lajpat Nagar-III, we are up on the second floor of J-19. Chandra Silk Vt has been here for a good bit now. Being on the second floor means people have to walk up, but they don't seem to mind much. It’s a bit quieter up here away from the street noise and the traffic. We handle silk, which is a delicate business. You have to be careful with the storage and the light. The rooms are filled with different rolls and colors. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit overwhelming, but we manage to find what we need eventually. Lajpat Nagar is always moving, so there is a lot of energy around. We usually start our day by checking the stock and seeing what arrived the night before. It’s a small team here. We know each other well and we just get on with the tasks. No one wears suits or acts formal in our office. We just wear what’s comfortable and work. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we use the stairs. It keeps us fit, I guess. We have some regular people who have been coming to us for years. They know the address and they know where to find the bell. We don't do big fancy displays or anything. The silk speaks for itself once people see it. We’re just a local spot doing our thing on the second floor. It works for us.
