Aakriti Garments

We’ve been here at B-39/1 in the Old Double Storey part of Lajpat Nagar 4 for a while now. It's a busy spot, especially being so close to the Sai Baba Tempal. People often stop by after visiting the temple or just while they are walking through the market. The shop is Aakriti Garments. Mostly, it's just us handling the stock and helping whoever walks through the door. The building itself has that old Delhi feel to it, and it’s definitely not fancy or anything like those big malls. We spend most of our mornings unpacking things and making sure everything is where it should be on the shelves. Sometimes it gets quite crowded on the weekends when the market is full of people from all over the city. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood, which is nice. It’s good knowing the people who live around here. We just try to keep things simple and practical. There’s always a lot of traffic on the road outside, but inside we just focus on the clothes and getting things done. It’s a small space, but we make it work for what we need. We have different items coming in every few weeks. We don't really do much advertising. People just find us by walking past or because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but that’s just how it is. We keep the doors open and just wait for the next person to come in.
