Kishore Beej Co is located in Greater Kailash I, right in the M Block Market at ME 12/13. This market is always crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone comes out for food and shopping. Our shop is a bit different from the fancy boutiques nearby because we deal with seeds and gardening things. You can usually smell the dried earth and seeds when you walk through the door. We have sacks of stuff piled up in the corners and packets hanging everywhere. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful where we step. A lot of people from the apartments around here come in looking for things to plant in their pots or small garden patches. We’ve seen the market change so much over the years, with new shops opening and closing all the time. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still use an old desk and keep most of our notes on paper. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when a large delivery arrives and we have to find room for all the new stock. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. It’s just a place to get your seeds and get some basic advice on how to make them grow. We usually open up a bit later in the morning once the market starts waking up and stay until it gets dark.
