Kids'A Club School

Kids'A Club School is located right in the DDA Flats in Munirka. It is a small setup, which works well for the younger children we have here. Because we are inside a residential area, it feels more like a home than a big institution. We have rooms that have been turned into classrooms, filled with colorful mats, small chairs, and boxes of toys. The walls have lots of drawings that the kids have done, mostly of houses and trees. In the mornings, parents just walk over from their flats to drop the little ones off. It gets a bit noisy during play time, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We spend our time teaching the kids their letters and numbers, and we play a lot of music. There is a small outdoor area where they can get some fresh air, though it isn't very big. We have to keep a close eye on everyone to make sure they don't wander off or get into trouble. The staff here are mostly local people who enjoy being around children. It isn't a corporate environment at all. We have our own way of doing things, and it usually involves a lot of patience and repeat explanations. When it is time to go home, the parents come back and we chat about how the day went. It is a very simple, community-focused kind of school that serves the families nearby.
