Kendriya Vidyalaya

Being at C 79, Ground Floor in South Ext. Part Ii means we are right in the middle of a lot of noise and people in New Delhi. It is quite a spot for a place like Kendriya Vidyalaya. We deal with a lot of students and parents every single day, and things can get pretty hectic around here. The ground floor stays cool during the heat, which is a blessing. It’s not some big glass building like you see in the movies. It’s a functional space where we try to keep everything organized. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and the phone rings more than we’d like, but that’s just life in the city. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations. We just have chairs, some old cupboards, and a lot of books. New Delhi 110049 is our home and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. People stop by to ask questions all the time. Our staff is mostly busy, but they’ll talk to you if they have a minute. It’s just a normal place where work gets done without any big fuss. We try to keep the floors clean and the lights on. It’s a simple operation, really. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a bunch of us working to help the students out.
