Karol Bagh is a crazy place to work, especially in the Nai Wala area. Natco Exports is at 163433, right in the middle of all that chaos. There are scooters everywhere and people carrying huge bundles on their heads. Our building is one of those tall, narrow ones where you’re always climbing stairs. We do a lot of exporting, so there are always cardboard boxes taped up and ready to go near the door. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We have piles of samples from years ago that we really should throw away, but nobody wants to do it. The office is small and usually smells like the parathas someone brought for lunch. We don't have a marketing department or a PR person. We just answer the phones and make sure the goods get to where they’re supposed to go. It’s a lot of logistical work that keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes the electricity goes off, and we have to finish the paperwork by candlelight or just wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just the way things are in this part of Delhi. We’ve been here a long time, and we know all the delivery guys by name. It’s a messy, loud, and honest way to make a living. There’s always someone shouting outside or a horn honking, but we barely hear it anymore because we’re used to the noise.
