Krishana Boutique

Krishana Boutique is tucked away at 5/54 Ajmal Khan Road. This street is always moving, so there is always something interesting to look at out the front window while we work. We spend most of our time dealing with different fabrics and looking at new patterns. It isn't a massive showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we keep our stock and talk to the people who come in. Often, the tables are covered in scraps of cloth or measuring tapes that we forgot to put back. That is just how we work here. We have been in this spot for a long time and the neighbors all know our names. It feels like a very normal way to spend the day, just handling clothes and making sure the shop looks okay for the afternoon rush. Sometimes we run out of space for all the new items, so we have to get creative with the racks and the metal shelves we installed. We don't do anything too fancy with the decor. It is just white walls, some metal shelves, and a lot of clothes. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road traffic outside, but we try to keep on top of it. Working here means seeing the same faces every week. We aren't trying to change the world, just running a small boutique in a busy part of town. It’s simple work but it keeps us on our feet throughout the long day.
