K. L. M. Exports

We have been working out of this spot at 1770/53 in Naiwala for a while now. Karol Bagh is always a bit of a mess with the traffic and people moving everywhere, but it is where everything happens for us. Our office is not very big, just a few desks and stacks of papers and boxes waiting to go out. Most mornings start with the sound of shutters going up all along the street. It gets noisy pretty fast once the spare parts shops nearby open up. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the stuff that comes in for export. It’s a lot of manual work, making sure things are packed right so nothing breaks on the way. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is usually the highlight when things get a bit stressful. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just calendars and some old maps. It’s just how we do things here. The stairs are narrow and sometimes it is a real struggle to get the larger crates down to the street level when the truck finally arrives. You get used to the dust and the constant honking after a few years. It’s just a regular place where we try to get the work done before it gets too dark to see clearly.
