Kala Niketan Senior Secondary Bal Vidyalaya

We are located right on the Main Road in Gazipur. It is a loud area with a lot of traffic passing by all day long, but inside the school walls, it is much calmer. Kala Niketan has been around long enough that the paint is peeling a little in the corners, but that just shows we have been busy. We have a lot of stairs to climb and the rooms are packed with desks. It gets pretty warm in the summer months, so the ceiling fans are always humming at full speed. The staff is a mix of older teachers who have seen everything and younger ones who are still learning how to manage a classroom. We do not have a giant playground, but the kids find ways to play cricket in the small open spaces we do have. Gazipur is a crowded place, and we try to be a steady spot for the families living in the nearby lanes. Most of our students walk to school from home. You can see them in their uniforms every morning carrying bags that look a bit too heavy for them. We do our best to keep things organized despite the limited space. The office is usually piled high with registers and folders. There is always someone coming in to ask about admissions or to pay monthly fees. It is a very normal, local school. We just teach the lessons and get on with it.
