Jrd Engg Airtel

Being part of the Jrd Engg Airtel team means I spend a lot of my time out in Koppaka, near Eluru. I work with Jayanta Kumar Behera at the Rgtil site, specifically at CS2. It is a very technical environment, mostly dealing with the engineering side of things for the network. We are out in a bit of a rural area in Andhra Pradesh, so the work is very hands-on and practical. It is not an office job where you sit in a suit all day. Instead, we are dealing with equipment and making sure the signals are working like they should. The site at Koppaka is pretty quiet most of the time, except for the sound of the machines and the occasional local traffic passing by. I usually travel from Eluru to get to the site. The landscape around here is mostly green fields, which is a nice view when we take our breaks. We have to be careful with the heat, as it can get quite intense during the afternoons. It is a lot of hard work, checking connections and keeping the engineering standards up to date. We don't have a lot of fancy amenities out here at the CS2 station, just the tools we need and a place to sit. It feels good to be working on something that helps people stay connected, even if we are just a small part of a much bigger system. Every day brings a new set of cables or towers to look at.
