We are located at 42/B Satya Niketan, which is a pretty lively part of New Delhi. The school isn't a massive campus, but we make use of every bit of space we have. From the moment the first bell rings in the morning, the building is full of the sound of kids running around and teachers trying to get everyone to sit down. The classrooms have those old wooden desks that have seen a lot of students over the years. We spend a lot of time on basic stuff—making sure there’s enough chalk, fixing the fans when they stop spinning, and organizing the books in the small library. Satya Niketan is always busy with students from the nearby colleges, so there’s a lot of energy right outside our doors. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear the lessons, but we just close the windows and carry on. We don’t have any fancy high-tech labs or anything like that. It’s just a local school where we focus on the basics. The teachers here are used to the cramped staff room and the pile of notebooks that need grading every afternoon. During recess, the small courtyard gets really crowded and loud, which is just part of the daily life here. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many kids, there’s always a stray pencil or a crumpled piece of paper somewhere on the floor.
