Our place is at F-18/1 in the Joga Bai Extension. It’s a vibrant part of the city with a lot of people and a lot of movement. Saba Export operates out of a modest building that doesn't look like much from the outside. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve grown to like the rhythm of the neighborhood. The office is usually a bit cluttered with samples and packing materials because that’s the nature of the export business. We don't have a cleaning crew that comes in every night to make it look like a showroom. It’s a real working space. We have a few desks shoved together and there’s usually a radio playing softly in the background. Dealing with exports means we are always looking at schedules and worrying about the weather or the ports. It’s a lot of stress sometimes, but we handle it together. We are just a small team of local people. We don't wear suits or have formal meetings. We usually just talk over tea about what needs to be done next. The Joga Bai area has its charms, even if the roads are a bit bumpy and the power goes out once in a while. We stay here because it’s where we started and we know the people around us. It’s a practical location for what we do, and we don't feel the need for anything more elaborate.
