Jain Snacks

We are tucked away in Shankar Market at shop number 86, right in the heart of Connaught Place. Being here means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just passing through the market looking for fabrics, and others work in the offices nearby and come to us when they are hungry for something quick. It gets pretty loud and busy, especially when the weather is nice and everyone wants to be outside. Our space isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when the lunch rush starts. We spend most of our time getting things ready behind the counter, making sure there is enough for everyone who stops by. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the demand in such a famous part of Delhi. You can usually find us here from morning until the market starts to wind down in the evening. There’s always the smell of something frying or being packed up. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but our little corner stays mostly the same. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the rain makes the corridors a bit messy, but that’s just how it is in an old building like this. We don’t have fancy seating or anything like that. People just grab their snacks and find a spot to stand or take it back to their office. It is a simple way of doing things and it works for us.
