Ims Learning Centre

The Ims Learning Centre is tucked away at number 37 in Shanti Niketan. It’s a quiet enough street, which is good for what we do. We have a few rooms set up for teaching and some space for students to sit and read. We’ve been in Shanti Niketan for a while, and most of the neighbors know us by now. The building is older, so it has some character, though the stairs can be a bit creaky. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. There are just basic tables and chairs and some whiteboards. It gets a bit warm in the summer, but we have fans running all day to keep it comfortable enough. We don't spend much on fancy stuff; we just try to keep the place tidy for the students. There’s a small garden area outside that we try to look after when we have time. Usually, it’s just a few of us here making sure the classes run smoothly. People come in at different times throughout the day, so it never stays too quiet for long. It’s a very local feel, not like those big polished centers you see in the malls. We just do our work here at Shanti Niketan 37 and help out the people who come to us for learning. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost finding the gate but we just go out and wave.
