Right on the Ring Road in Sarojini Nagar, you’ll find our school at No - 3. It’s a very busy spot because the traffic never really stops in this part of Delhi - 110023. Being a government high school, we see a huge variety of students coming through our gates every morning. The building is a functional, no-nonsense structure that has stood the test of time. Inside, the walls are painted that standard shade you see in many public buildings, and some of the corners have scuffs from all the activity. The rooms are large to accommodate the number of students we have. It can get quite loud with the sound of the Ring Road just outside, but once the lessons start, everyone settles down. We have a playground where the kids spend their time when they aren't in class. The staff here is used to the fast pace of a city school. We manage things as best we can with the resources we have. There’s always paperwork to be done and exams to prepare for. Sarojini Nagar is a famous area for shopping, but for us, it’s just where we work every day. Parents come by to check on their children's progress or to handle admissions. It’s a very grounded place. We don't have many frills, but we have a lot of history. The students are mostly local, and they know the neighborhood well. We just keep moving forward, one school year at a time, right here by the road.
