Harvest Tender Roots School

Harvest Tender Roots is located in W Block of GK-2. Greater Kailash 2 is a busy part of Delhi, but our little corner is somewhat more manageable and quieter than the main markets. The school is meant for the younger children, so it’s designed to be a bit more friendly and less intimidating than the huge secondary schools around the city. We have rooms set up for play and learning, and we try to keep things as organized as possible for the little ones. The parents around here are often in a hurry, so the morning drop-off at the gate is usually quite a quick affair. We spend the whole day doing activities with the kids, things like drawing, singing, or basic reading lessons. It’s noisy in a good way, with children's voices filling up the space most of the time. The building itself is a standard GK house that’s been converted to fit a school, so it feels more like a home than a formal office or institution. We have a small outdoor area where they can get some fresh air when the weather isn't too dusty or hot outside. The teachers here have a lot of patience, which you definitely need when you're working with this age group every day. We don't have a lot of fancy technology or computers, just the basics that work. It’s a place where kids can just be kids while they start learning their first bits. We have been here for years now.
