Harmony Public Secondary School Samala

Our school is located right in the Nizamuddin West Market, specifically at Shop No 5. It’s a unique spot because we are right in the thick of the market activity. Every morning, you can hear the shopkeepers opening their shutters and the smell of fresh food from the nearby stalls. Being in a market area means space is tight, and we’ve had to make the most of every square inch. The school is spread across a couple of levels, and the rooms are intimate. It’s not like those schools with big sprawling campuses and grass fields. Our students are used to the hum of the city right outside the windows. We spend our time trying to keep the noise out and the focus on the books. The entrance is small, so it gets a bit jammed when school lets out in the afternoon. We don't have a fancy lobby; you just walk in and you're pretty much in the middle of everything. It’s a very grounded place where everyone knows each other by name. The staff stays busy with the paperwork and managing the daily schedule in such a compact space. Sometimes the deliveries for the other shops block our way, but we just work around it. It’s a practical, local school for the families who live and work in this part of Delhi. We just focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the kids are learning what they need to.
