About Harmark World School – Education in New Delhi
If you find yourself in Model Town 3, specifically around C-11/6 B, you’ll see our school tucked away in the neighborhood. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets, which is nice for the classrooms. We have a few floors and the layout is a bit like a large house that was turned into a school over time. The stairs are narrow, so we have to tell the kids to walk in a line when they change classes. In the mornings, the street outside gets a little clogged with cars and vans dropping off students, but it clears up pretty quickly. Inside, you’ll find the walls painted in bright colors, though some spots need a fresh coat now. We use regular whiteboards and the furniture is the sturdy kind that can handle a lot of wear and tear. Our staff room is always a bit of a mess with tiffin boxes and stacks of homework. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from fixing a leaky tap to helping out at the front gate. It’s a very hands-on environment. The neighborhood is friendly, and we often see the same faces every day. We don't pretend to be some high-end international institution; we are just a local school doing our job in this corner of Delhi. It’s honest work and we enjoy the daily interaction with the families living nearby.
