Shahdara is a part of Delhi that never really sleeps, especially around Babarpur Road. Our school sits right there, and you can feel the rhythm of the street from the moment you arrive. It’s a busy place with lots of cycles and scooters parked outside. Inside, the classrooms are filled with the usual wooden benches that have names scratched into them from years ago. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many kids around, there is always a bit of a mess somewhere. The playground isn't massive, but it's enough for the students to run around during their short break. Most of our days are spent checking notebooks and making sure the bells ring on time. The noise from the main road is just a background hum that we’ve all stopped noticing. Sometimes the water cooler acts up, or we have to fix a fan that started making a clicking sound. It’s just normal everyday stuff. We don't use any fancy technology; it's mostly just chalk and talk here. Parents from the neighborhood stop by the office to pay fees or talk about their child's progress, and it's always a bit of a squeeze in the small waiting area. We like the fact that we are right in the heart of Shahdara where everyone knows everyone else. It makes the school feel like a real part of the community rather than just a building.
