Hanuman Palem Up School

Our school, Hanuman Palem Up School, is situated at C-74, Vivek Vihar Phase 1 in Delhi. Vivek Vihar is a settled neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a good long time. The building itself is a regular house-style structure that we’ve converted for school use over the years. We have classrooms on a couple of floors, and the hallways are usually full of kids moving between subjects. It’s not a giant campus, so things can feel a bit cramped when everyone is out for their break, but we make it work. Most of the families who send their kids here are from the surrounding blocks in Phase 1. We have a small team of teachers who have seen a lot of students grow up and move on to high school. The office is right by the entrance where we keep all the files in old metal cabinets. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just the student work and some maps. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to other parts of Delhi, which is nice for a school. We spend our days managing the timetable and making sure the supplies are stocked up. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or a fan stops working, so we have to call the local repairman. It’s just a normal, practical school that serves the people living around Vivek Vihar. We just focus on the day’s tasks.
