Our place, Hansons Exports, is at D-46 in Neb Sarai. Neb Sarai is an interesting area, a bit tucked away with its own local character. D-46 is a plain building that serves as our base for everything we do. It’s not a high-tech facility; it’s more of a traditional office where the main tools are the telephone and a stack of notebooks. We’ve been here for some time, and we know the rhythms of the street pretty well. The mornings are usually the busiest, with people coming in and out and the sound of the neighborhood waking up. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals plastered on the walls. We just want to make sure the exports we handle get to where they need to go without any major issues. It’s a lot of coordination and double-checking facts. Sometimes the office gets a bit chaotic, especially when we’re nearing a deadline, but we usually manage to pull through. We’re just a small crew, so we all know each other’s business and help out where it’s needed. It’s an honest, slightly disorganized environment that feels like home to us. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just show up, do the work, handle the problems that pop up, and head home. It’s a practical life, and we wouldn't have it any other way in Neb Sarai.
