Hanschara M.D. High School

B-33 in Jhilmil Colony is where you will find us. It is a fairly quiet spot compared to the really crowded main roads of Delhi. Hanschara M.D. High School has been around for a while, and the building shows its age a bit, but it is sturdy and does the job. We have kids from all over the colony coming in every morning with their heavy bags and uniforms. The staff room is usually full of stacks of papers and half-finished tea cups. We do not have a huge playground, but the kids always find enough space to run around during their breaks. The classrooms have high ceilings which really helps when it gets very hot in Delhi 110095. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know the local shops and the best bus routes. It is not a place with shiny glass walls or modern art. It is mostly brick and paint that we touch up ourselves when we can. We follow the standard syllabus and try to get through the exams without too much stress for the students. Sometimes the bell rings a minute late or the water cooler acts up, but we fix it and carry on. It is a local school for local people. We keep the gates open in the morning for the parents to drop their children off. Jhilmil Colony is a nice community to be part of. We see these kids grow up year after year.
