Gyna Gangotri High School

Gyna Gangotri High School is situated in Burari, which is a part of Delhi that has grown massively over the last decade. We’ve seen the streets get busier and the buildings get taller all around us. The school is a place where local kids come for their daily lessons. It’s not one of those huge, shiny private schools you see in the posh parts of the city. We are a regular high school serving the people of the 110084 area. Every morning, the streets around the school are filled with students in their uniforms, making their way to class. We have a mix of teachers who have been here for a long time and some newer faces too. The building itself is straightforward, with classrooms that have seen plenty of use. During the break times, the playground is usually full of noise and energy. We deal with all the usual school stuff, from exams to annual functions. Being in Burari means we are right in the heart of a very active community. It’s a bit dusty and loud sometimes, but that’s just life in this part of Delhi. We don't try to pretend to be anything we aren't. We just focus on keeping the classes running and making sure the students have a place to learn. It’s a local institution, and we’re happy to be part of the neighborhood. The doors open early and we stay until the last student leaves.
