Gyan Jyoti English School Kothasema

Gyan Jyoti English School Kothasema is located in Pochanpur, which is part of Dwarka Sector 23. This area is a bit of a mix between the old village style and the new developed sectors of Delhi 110077. Our school is right there in the middle of it. The walk to the school takes you past some old houses and a few new apartment buildings that are going up. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads of Dwarka. The building itself has a small courtyard where we gather in the mornings for assembly. It’s nothing fancy, just some concrete and a few potted plants that we try to keep alive despite the heat. The classrooms are basic with standard desks and blackboards that we use every day. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on the fans and the breeze coming in from the open doors when it's not too dusty. Sometimes a stray dog wanders into the yard and we have to gently shoo it away before classes start. The families in Pochanpur are good people, and we see them every day when they drop their kids off at the gate. We don't use any big words to describe ourselves or what we do. We are just a local school at Sector 23 that tries to stay organized and do right by the students who come here. The sign outside is small, but people know us.
