Gurunanak Academy Of Science Commerce

If you go to Mayur Vihar Phase III, specifically Pocket B 2, you’ll find Gurunanak Academy Of Science Commerce. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from this side of town, but it’s our home. We have a few rooms set up for the different subjects. It’s nothing like those big private schools with the fancy labs. We just have the basics—blackboards, chalk, and plenty of benches. The Academy has been in Pocket B 2 for quite a while now. During the day, it gets pretty loud with all the chatter, but that’s just how it is when you’ve got people around. Gurunanak Academy Of Science Commerce is where we spend all our time. We’re usually here long after the sun goes down, just cleaning up or getting ready for the next day’s lessons. The science side of things usually involves a lot of diagrams on the board, and the commerce stuff is mostly numbers and ledgers. We don’t have any big philosophy about it. We just want people to learn what they need to learn so they can move on. Mayur Vihar is a crowded place, and sometimes the electricity goes out, but we just keep going. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, keeping everything running, but we manage. Just a local academy trying to keep its doors open and help the kids in the neighborhood.
