Guru Nanak Joniar High School

Our school is tucked away in the D-1 block of Rohini. It is a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main roads of Delhi, which is nice for a junior high. We have kids coming in from all around the 110085 area. The building is simple, just a few floors with classrooms and a small office for the administration. Since it is a junior high, the energy level is always pretty high. You can hear kids running around or shouting during their lunch hour. We don't have fancy elevators or air-conditioned hallways. It is a basic setup that gets the job done. The teachers here are local people mostly, and they have been teaching here for years. We know the parents and we know the kids. It feels more like a community spot than a big corporate school. Sometimes the whiteboards need a good scrubbing and the desks are a bit scratched up, but that is what happens when you have hundreds of kids using them every day. We focus on the basics. Rohini has changed a lot, with new malls and metro stations, but our little corner in D-1 stays pretty much the same. We open the doors early, make sure everyone is in their seat, and try to teach them something useful before the day ends. It is a humble place, but it works for the families living around here. We just keep doing what we have always done.
