We are over in Bhogal, specifically at Shop No 75 A in Samman Bazar. It’s right in the middle of the market rush. We handle onions mostly, which means the smell is something you just get used to after a while. Our family has been in the vegetable trade for a long time. The shop is in a busy corner of Lajpat Nagar Jang Pura. Every morning the trucks come in early, usually before the sun is even up, and we have to unload sacks and sacks of onions. It’s a lot of physical work and the floor is always covered in those thin brown skins. We sell to the local vendors and sometimes people just buying for their kitchens. The rainy season is the hardest because the onions can spoil so fast if they get damp. We have to be very careful with the storage. We don't have an office with a computer.
