Gujrati High School

We are located at C-161 on the first floor in Jhilmil Colony. It is an older part of Delhi and the streets are quite narrow around here. Our school takes up the floor and we have a few rooms divided for the different classes we run. Being on the first floor means we hear all the traffic and the people selling things on the street below throughout the day. Gujrati High School has been in this spot for years and the building has seen better days but it works for us. We have old wooden desks that have been used by many students over time. There is no big playground so the kids mostly stay inside during their breaks or stand in the hallway. We have a small office where we keep all the records in big metal cupboards. The stairs up to the school are a bit steep and can be tiring if you have to go up and down many times a day. We have local teachers who have been with us for a long time and know all the families. It is a very simple way of running a school without any of the fancy things you see in the newer parts of the city. We focus on the books and the exams that the board sets for us. Parents in Jhilmil Colony know us because we have been here so long. It is a busy life in a small space.
