Gujral Export House

Gujral Export House is tucked away at House No. 20 in the Hathi Khana area of Azad Market. If you know Azad Market, you know it’s one of those places where there’s never a dull moment. The building is an old house that we’ve used for work for a long time. It has high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of a breeze if the weather is nice. We have boxes stacked up in almost every corner because there’s always something being prepared for shipment. Working in a market area means we have to deal with trucks blocking the lane every other hour. It can be frustrating when we’re in a hurry, but that’s just life here. The office is basically a few rooms filled with desks, samples, and a lot of ledgers. We don’t really do the digital thing for everything yet; some things are still written down in books. It’s a family-ish atmosphere here, where everyone knows each other’s business. We eat lunch together most days, usually something brought from home or ordered from the stall down the street. It’s a bit chaotic during peak season, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the market. It’s just us doing our bit in a very busy corner of the city. We don't have any fancy signs out front, just the house number and our name on a small plaque. It's a bit dusty, but it feels like home after all these years.
