We are based in Yamuna Vihar at C-7/134. It’s a decent enough spot in a residential block, so it feels very much like a community school. The day usually starts early with the sound of the gates opening and the first few students trickling in. We have several classrooms and they are usually quite full. It isn't a fancy place with high-tech gadgets; we mostly stick to the basics like chalk and textbooks. The hallways can get a bit crowded when classes change, but that is just part of the experience. We have a small office area where we keep all the files and handle the admin work, which is always more than we expect. On hot Delhi days, we just keep the windows open and the fans going full blast. You can hear the neighborhood sounds from the classrooms, like birds or someone calling out on the street, which some people might find distracting, but the kids are used to it. We try to keep a regular schedule but things happen, like a teacher being late or a sudden rainstorm that makes the street outside a bit messy. Parents come in and out for meetings or to talk about their kids. It’s a very straightforward operation here. No one is trying to be anything we aren't. We are just a school in Yamuna Vihar helping the local kids get through their classes every year so they can move on to the next grade.
