Dwarka Sector 23 is generally much quieter than most other parts of Delhi, and Mbr Enclave is a small residential pocket tucked away inside it. Our school is located at Plot No. 230 in Block B. Because it is a residential neighborhood, the atmosphere is quite calm compared to schools located on the main roads. The school building itself is a fairly simple, square structure. The paint on the exterior walls was bright once, but it has dulled over the years from the dust and rain. We have a small gate at the entrance that the guard keeps locked during class hours. Inside, the rooms are a decent size, but we often have to keep the windows shut because of the construction work happening nearby. There is a small patch of ground next to the building where the students can run around a bit during their lunch break. Most of our teachers come from different sectors of Dwarka and they usually take the bus or ride their own scooters to get here. We do not have a big canteen or a kitchen, so everyone just brings their own food from home. The main office is usually a bit messy, filled with stacks of books and some sports gear like cricket bats leaning against the walls. It has a very local, familiar feel to it. We know most of the parents who come by to pick up their children. It’s just a normal school day for us.
