Green Field Higher Secondary School

Kohat Enclave is always a very busy neighborhood, especially around the metro station and all the local shops and eateries. Our school is located at Office No 358, which is up on the third floor of the building. It is not exactly the usual spot where you would expect to find a school, as we are surrounded by other offices and businesses. You have to take the stairs most of the time, though there is a lift that people use when it’s working right. Up here on the third floor, it is a little bit quieter than the noise on the street level, but you can still hear the traffic and horns honking from below. The classrooms are basically office rooms that we have converted over the years. We just put up some charts and brought in enough desks for everyone. Since we are in a commercial building, there is no playground right outside the door, so the students spend most of their time inside during their breaks. It gets a little bit crowded in the hallways when classes are switching over. The sunlight coming through the windows is quite nice in the afternoons. Most of the staff bring their own tiffin boxes and eat together in a small corner we’ve set aside. It is a very practical setup for people living in this part of North Delhi. We don't have any big signs outside, just the number on the door. It’s just how we operate here every day.
