Greatway Public High School

Our school is tucked into Gali Number 112 in Burari. If you know Delhi, you know how these lanes can be. It is a high school, so we have kids of all ages from the local area coming in every morning. The morning assembly is usually when it is loudest. We have a basic building that has been expanded over time to fit more classrooms. There isn't a massive field for sports, so the kids make do with the space we have. The hallways are narrow and the walls are covered with whatever posters the kids have made. It is a local school, so we know most of the parents by name because they live just a few streets away. It is not a place with big fancy buses; most kids just walk or get dropped off on a scooter. During the summer, the rooms can get a bit stuffy, but we keep the windows open. The staff room is a small place where we keep all the registers and have our lunch. It feels very much like a part of the Burari community. We deal with the usual school stuff like lost pens and parents worrying about grades. It is just a regular school in a busy part of Delhi where we try to get through the syllabus and keep things organized. No big secrets or fancy setups, just a school in a lane where teachers do their job every single day.
