Govt.School Band Ki Dhani Tyod

Our school is situated at 510-A on Circular Road in Shahdara. The full name is Govt. School Band Ki Dhani Tyod, but it’s just the local school to most people around here. Being on Circular Road means there is a lot of noise from the cars and buses. Delhi is always loud, and the 110032 area is no different. The building is quite plain and has been here for a long time. It’s not one of those modern glass buildings you see in other parts of the city. We have classrooms with basic furniture. Some of the desks have been around for decades. We don't have a massive field for sports, but we make use of the space we have. The teachers are regular folks who commute here every day. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s a lot of routine involved in running a place like this. We deal with the books, the exams, and the general upkeep of the building. It’s a practical place. We don't try to sound like anything we aren't. We just provide a space for the kids to learn their lessons. Most of our students come from the local streets. We know their families and they know us. It’s a very grounded atmosphere here in Shahdara. We just stick to the basics of school life.
