Govt.Addid. Ps Longat School

This school is over in Jungpura B, right in the heart of Delhi, and it’s been sitting at 5/24 for quite a long time now. It’s a government-aided primary school, so things are pretty simple around here. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the basic classrooms and a small area for the kids to play during their breaks. The building is a bit old, and you can tell by the way the paint looks or how the floors have worn down over the years from so many feet running over them. Every morning, the parents drop their kids off at the gate, and it gets quite loud for a bit until everyone settles into their seats. We focus on the basics like reading and writing, and sometimes it's a bit of a struggle when the weather gets really hot in the summer because the old ceiling fans can only do so much. The teachers here are used to the routine of checking registers and making sure the mid-day meals are sorted out correctly. It’s a busy little spot in a crowded neighborhood, and we just try to keep things moving along as best as we can. Most people in the area know where we are, right near the main lanes of Jungpura, and it feels like a very normal part of the local community. We just go through the school year, day by day, teaching the children what they need to know.
