Govt. Middle School Mankawada

You can find us at A-100-101 in Gopal Vihar, which is near Vijay Vihar in Rohini Sector-1. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but locals know exactly where it is. This middle school is right in the thick of a residential area. The building is surrounded by houses and small shops, so we are never really away from the buzz of Rohini. Every morning, the students start trickling in from the nearby lanes. Some are running late, others are early, and they all crowd around the entrance. The school itself is quite plain, just bricks and concrete with the usual paint. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks that have seen many years of use. We spend a lot of time managing the classes and handling the various administrative tasks that come with a government school. It’s a lot of work, and the building can get quite warm in the summer months. We have a small courtyard where things happen, but mostly it’s about the time spent in the classrooms. People in Gopal Vihar know us as the local school where their kids go. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It is just a place where teachers teach and students learn. The bell rings at the same time every day, and we all head home through the busy streets of Sector-1. It is a very normal part of the local landscape here.
