Govt. High School

Govt. High School is located at Plot No.-38-40 in Rohini. The pin code is 110085. This area is a bit more open than the central parts of Delhi. The school building is quite large and sits on a big plot of land. We have a fair amount of space for the students. The rooms have high ceilings and the windows are large, though they can be a bit hard to open sometimes. We have the usual government school setup. There are rows of wooden benches and green boards for the teachers. Every morning, we start with a general assembly in the open area. The wind blows the dust around quite a bit in Rohini. We have a small garden area, but it’s mostly just dry grass. The teachers come from different parts of the city. Most of us take the bus or ride our scooters. The office is at the front of the building. It’s usually messy with piles of notebooks and enrollment forms. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans. The students are mostly from the nearby residential blocks. They are good kids, mostly. When the lunch bell rings, they all rush out to the playground. We spend the afternoon finishing up the lessons and doing the administrative work. The building at Plot No.-38-40 is a bit old now and needs some repairs here and there. But we manage just fine. It’s a steady, quiet kind of life here in Sector 85.
