Govt. High School (Ssd), Grischandrapur is located at Office Number A - 59 on the Main Road in Rohini Sector 2. Being right on the main road means we are very easy to spot. The traffic is constant, and the sound of horns is just part of our day. The building at A-59 is quite busy. It’s a high school, so we have plenty of students coming in from the surrounding sectors. The location is very convenient for parents and staff. We have a small office where all the main work happens. It’s usually full of people asking about dates or filling out forms. The classrooms are the standard type you see in Delhi schools. We have blackboards and old wooden desks. Some of them have been repaired many times. There’s a lot of paper work involved in running the place. We keep all the records in big steel cupboards. The staff room is a small space where we sit together during breaks. We drink tea and talk about the day’s work. There isn't a massive playground because of the main road location, but there is enough room for the kids to stand around. The sun gets quite strong in the afternoon and hits the front windows. We use thick curtains to keep the heat out. It’s a very local operation. Most of the teachers have been working here for a long time. We know the routine by heart. It’s just a regular government school doing its part in Rohini.
