Govt. Girls Sen. Sec. School

This school is found at C184/12, right in Gali No. 1, which many people call Akhadhe Wali Gali. It’s located in New Seelampur. Govt. Girls Sen. Sec. School is a big part of this neighborhood. The lane is very narrow and always full of people, bikes, and vendors. It can be a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here. The building itself is tucked away. It’s an older structure with several floors. Since it’s a senior secondary school, the girls are a bit older and more serious about their work. The classrooms are often crowded and it gets noisy when everyone is talking at once. We don't have a big open playground, so the girls mostly stay in the corridors or the small courtyard. The heat in Delhi can be tough, especially in these narrow alleys. We have big fans that stay on all day. The teachers spend their free time in the office, which is packed with files and registers. Everything is done on paper here. You can hear the sounds of the gali all day long, from the vegetable sellers to the passing scooters. It’s just the way things are in Seelampur. We’ve been at this C184/12 address for a long time. The families here know us well. We don't have any flashy signs or new equipment. It’s just a place where the local girls come to get through their schooling. It’s busy and loud, but it’s our daily life.
