Goodwill Engineering Works

The shop is located at C-1 right on the Ring Road in Naraina. If you’ve ever driven through this part of town, you know how busy and dusty it gets with all the trucks and cars passing by all day long. We have been working out of this spot for a good while. It is a typical engineering workspace. There is metal everywhere, tools hanging on the walls, and the smell of grease and burnt oil is always in the air. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, you’ll find one of us under a machine or hunched over a workbench fixing something. It’s noisy because of the traffic outside and the work inside, so we end up shouting to hear each other. We get all sorts of people coming in with broken parts or needing something custom made. Sometimes it’s a quick fix, and other times we are stuck on a single job for days. The floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep it, but that’s just the nature of engineering works. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep going through the afternoon slump. It’s a straightforward life here. We open early, stay until the light starts to fade, and then close up for the night. Naraina is a tough place to work because of the heat and the noise, but we are used to it by now.
