Goodwill Academy

Goodwill Academy is located at 9/60 on the ground floor in Geeta Colony. We are right near the Mahila Silai Centre, which is a well-known spot in this part of Delhi. Being on the ground floor is nice because we don’t have to deal with stairs, and it stays a bit cooler in the summer. The space is fairly basic. We have a few rooms with tables and chairs for the students. I’ve been working here for a while, and it’s always the same routine. I show up, unlock the gate, and start getting the registers ready. We get a lot of noise from the street outside because Geeta Colony is a very lively area. You can hear people talking and bikes going past all day long. We don’t have any polished corporate brochures or a fancy front desk. It’s just a place where people come to learn. Sometimes the water cooler leaks a bit, so we have to keep a mop handy. Most of our students are from the local families nearby. We know their names and their parents too. It feels very connected to the community here. I usually spend the late afternoons helping out with whatever subjects are needed that day. It’s not a high-tech setup, just some pens, paper, and a lot of patience. That’s how we’ve always done things at this location. We just try to stay consistent and show up every day to help the kids with their school work.
