Gautam Mitra

I am Gautam Mitra and I operate out of Vasant Kunj in New Delhi. The specific block is 2359/B-2, which is one of those typical residential areas you find in this part of the city. Vasant Kunj is a nice place but it can be a bit of a hassle with the security gates and the parking if you’re visiting. I’ve been here for a while and the routine is pretty much the same every day. I start work around nine after the morning rush has settled down. My office is basically a room filled with a lot of papers and a computer that is starting to get a bit slow. There isn't any fancy decor or expensive furniture. It’s just a practical space where I can focus. I don’t really have a big team helping me out; it is mostly a one-man show with some part-time help when the workload gets too heavy to manage alone. The trees outside the window are nice in the winter, but in the summer, we have to keep the curtains closed against the sun. I don’t spend money on marketing or trying to look bigger than I am. Most people who know me just call me up or drop by. It’s a straightforward way of living and working without all the extra noise you get in the bigger business districts of Delhi. I just keep track of my lists and check things off.
