Our office is tucked away in Sainik Nagar, which is over in the Nawada part of Uttam Nagar. If you know New Delhi at all, you know this area is always moving and can be quite crowded most of the time. We have been at the B-100 address for a good while. It is a solid building and it works well for what we do here at Gallay India. Most of the staff gets here by using the metro or riding their scooters through the narrow lanes. The workspace isn't anything like those big glass buildings you see over in Gurgaon. It is more of a practical setup where we just get our daily tasks done. We have a few desks, some computers, and a lot of files stacked up. The tea stall nearby is where most of us end up during the afternoon break to stretch our legs. It is a regular workplace with regular people who either live nearby or commute from other parts of the city. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the backup we have. We handle various administrative things and coordination from this spot. It is not a fancy lifestyle, but we stay busy and the work keeps us focused throughout the week. We have become friends with many of the neighbors over the years. It feels like a small, real community inside this busy part of Delhi. We just focus on the job.
