Flora Dale School

Flora Dale is located right in Pocket R of Dilshad Garden. It is one of those parts of East Delhi where everything is built very close together and neighbors really know each other. We have been sitting in this specific pocket for a long time, watching the trees grow taller and the whole neighborhood change around us. The school building is tucked away from the heaviest traffic, which is a nice thing for the students when they are trying to study. We do not have a huge, sprawling campus with a lot of extra land, but we make sure to use every single bit of the space we have as effectively as possible. Most of our families live right here in Dilshad Garden, so we often see them at the local market or walking in the park even on the weekends. It is a very grounded and humble place. We do not use a lot of big words or marketing speak to describe what we do here. We just open the gates early in the morning, teach the lessons, and make sure every child gets home safely at the end of the day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit or the street gets a little messy after a heavy rain, but we just deal with those things as they come, just like everyone else in this area. The building is simple and very functional. We keep the classrooms basic but comfortable enough for everyone. It is about being a steady presence in Pocket R.
